Today is the first day of Syawal, which means that that my Muslim friends are all celebrating Hari Raya Aidil Fitri (Eid Al-Fitr). The end of Ramadan sees them putting on their finest clothes to celebrate this joyous occasion. They’ll be visiting the mosques today for prayers and then visiting family members. A great time for reunions.
Tomorrow, the social visits will begin and my family shall be joining me to visit a few friends around the island and mainland. There’s an ex-colleague in Balik Pulau — Rosnita — that I haven’t seen for a few years. Perhaps we’ll surprise her with a visit …
