Merry Christmas 2006

Merry Christmas 2006I’m not a Christian but I love this festive period. Jingling music and visions of people dashing through the snow. Previously when listening to short-wave radio was still one of my passions (until radio reception gave way to the Internet), I made it a point not to miss the BBC World Service broadcast of A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols from the King’s College Cambridge on 25 Dec. To me, this broadcast from a distant and faraway place is the essence of Christmas.

My holiday greetings comes accompanied by a child’s innocent yet typical rendition of Christmas. I’m sure seven-year-old Jefferson will not mind if I were to reproduce his drawing for all to see.

To all my relatives and friends who celebrate this happy occasion, Merry Christmas to you! And also, a Happy New Year!

Thanks for putting my son’s picture on your blog. Appreciate that a lot and thanks for all the advise throughout the year. One blow after another but a milestone that preceeds those blows are always heartwarming and satisfying.
