Secret friend

I don’t know whether or not you know anything about feng shui but a popular belief is that each sign of the Chinese zodiac has its own secret friends or allies.

For example, if your Chinese zodiac sign is a Rabbit, then your secret friends are those whose signs are either the Tiger or the Horse. According to the popular belief, these secret friends and allies have special affinity to the person concerned (in this case, the Rabbit) and will help him achieve his endeavours.

Whether or not you believe this is up to you, but I find it an interesting concept.

Likewise, in your work and career, it will not hurt you to have your own friends and allies who can help you attain your goals.

Of course, you can always rise to the top of the corporate ladder on your own but who wouldn’t want a nudge or a helpful push? Your climb may be swifter and easier.

So, try to seek a buddy or a mentor in the office: one who can look out for you and support you, one who will say “That’s a great idea!” at the right time and the right place, such as when you are presenting your proposal in the next brain-storming meeting.

Naturally, be sure to reciprocate in kind. No such thing as receiving without giving.
