Snippet: the thank you note

While it is not really a common thing to do, especially here in Asia, a letter of thanks sent after a job interview can make all the difference in the world.

Certain employers can be influenced in a positive manner, if they receive a “thank you” letter from an applicant. The “thank you” letter can be viewed as a sample of your work, and the way you convey your gratitude on paper can work hugely in your favour. Never assume that the employer will have made up his mind about you after the interview: studies have shown that some employers have asserted that “thank you” letters ultimately influenced their decision to hire a candidate.
