Snippet: using the Internet effectively

Have you started using the Internet as a tool to help you find the job that you want?

There are many valid reasons to take advantage of this powerful but underrated device, not least of all the fact that a lot of employers are starting to use it to find desired candidates. According to a recent study done in the United States, nearly 48 percent of companies do at least part of their recruiting online.

So what can you do on the Web to facilitate your job-seeking quest? Apart from the obvious digging through company websites, you can also narrow your search down to specific industries or occupations, by making use of so-called “niche sites”, which are websites that specialise in particular industries and professions. You might just find what you are looking for if you look in the right places!
