Snippet: choosing your employer

You do have a choice when it comes to selecting which company to work for.

Most candidates, when offered similar jobs by different organisations, will snap up the one with the largest benefits. However, it has to be understood that financial considerations are no longer the key decisive factor in the selection of jobs.

Other issues like workplace culture, working environment and a viable work-life balance do come into play as well, with most job-seekers ranking these things on par with monetary remunerations.

A general thumb of rule to keep in mind when looking for a job is to ensure that all these factors are readily available, and you feel comfortable enough with the company to commit yourself to it in the long run.
